SAND BLASTING AND PAINTING METHEDOLOGY

Surface Preparation:-
Equipment’s : Air compressor, Sand hopper, Hose pipe with nozzle.
Process : Sand Blasting for removal oil, and dirt which is stacked on the inside surface of steel liners.
Inspection : By using visual surface comparators for acquiring near white metal. (SA 2.5)
Reference Documents : IS 1477 (Part-1) & 3.59.1 of TECH SPEC VOL IV.
Format of Record : Inspection Report.
Post Cleaning : We need to clear the sand from surface after completion of sand blasting.
Painting:-
Type of Paints : Zinc rich epoxy primer, Coal tar.
No, of Coats : Primer – 02 coats, Coal tar – 03 coats
Equipment’s : Air compressor, Painting machine, Painting gun with pipe.
