Development of a Wearable UV Radiation for

Personal Ultraviolet Radiation Monitoring

Objective of the Study

This study aims to provide users with information regarding their UV radiation exposure,
aiding in the prevention of sun-related skin damage. Through the incorporation of monitoring
capabilities, individuals can effortlessly track their UV exposure levels during outdoor activities.
Additionally, an alert system will be integrated to promptly notify users when UV radiation
levels surpass predefined safety thresholds, prompting them to take necessary sun protection
measures. Furthermore, the inclusion of data logging and storage features will allow users to
conveniently review their exposure history and trends over time, fostering a better understanding
of personal sun exposure habits.

Specific Objectives

1. Develop a wearable UV Radiation for measuring UV exposure

2. Prevent sun-related skin damage by giving insight to the user

3. Educating users about exposure to UV radiation through the dosimeter's interface

Method:

Constructing the wearable UV Radiation dosimeter and evaluating its performance. After
selecting the necessary parts, a prototype will be created. Testing will confirm its accuracy, and
design changes will be informed by user feedback. After that, the dosimeter's usefulness in
educating users about UV exposure will be assessed.
