What is a
string quartet?
the term string quartet can refer to
either a type of musicals compositions
or a group of four people who play the
term.

The melody is usually played by Violin I
first and second violin. The
viola and the cello are usually

playing the accompanist or
harmony to make the performance
more colourful. Viola

sometimes string quartet has guitar.
woodwind - recorder or wooden flute,
oboe, bassoon and clarinet. brass
- trumpet, horns (with valves by the
end of the period) percussion - timpani
(kettledrums) and sometimes triangle,
hand cymbals and bass drum.
