As a STEM student, the problems I have encountered are self-studying about difficult topics that I

needed to catch up on and finding the right video tutorials to base the lesson on solving a specific mathematics

problem. However, the importance of quantitative research is to explain phenomena, collect numerical data, and

reduce a complex problem to a limited number. That is why through quantitative research, we can provide

surveys or questionnaires to the STEM students if they have been struggling with the same problem: self-

studying and finding the right video tutorials. Through this, we can provide a solution and explanation on why

we commonly struggle with self-studying and what are the factors that affect our way of learning. Aside from

our self-studying, finding the right video tutorials to solve a mathematics problem has been difficult especially

if the topic is complex and requires more understanding of the topic. That is why, through quantitative research,

we can choose our solution by basing the preferred learning or way of learning of the students in order to

efficiently understand subjects or topics from mathematics.
