(B) Material Inspection

1 All materials shall conform to specifications and Approved makes

PROCESS CHECKS Tolerances/ Acceptable Ranges / Codes
(C) Check for/ Ensure Surface Preparation and Evenness
1 Confirm sound concrete at edge
2 Alignmennt of RCC members Tolerance ± 30mm
(D) Check for Alignment
1 Plumb Line (Vertical Members) 2mm per 3.2m length, 3mm in total run
2 Level (Horizontal Members) 2mm per 3.2m length, 3mm in total run
(E) Check for Fastners
Appropriate number of fasteners fixed with appropriate
1 frequency
2 Size and brand of the fastener same as per the specification
3 Spacing of fastners as per drawings
4 Fastener fully gone deep and not peeping out
(F) Check for Frame / Mullions
Appropriate number of mullions fixed with appropriate
1 frequency
2 Size and brand of the Mullion same as per the specification
3 Alignmnent of members w.r.t slab edge as per drawings max. offset 1.5mm
(F) Check for Glass, Spandrel and Openable panels
1 All panels are as per specifications
2 Location of each panel as per Elevation in shop drawings
3 Offset between glass and frame max. offset 1mm
4 Review Test Reports for water and air penetration
(G) Check for Sealants

1 Review Manufacturers test for sealant on adhesion and staining

2 Review Pre-construction field test on sealants
Review field test (hose test for water leakage) conducted by
2 fabricators during execution Start as early as 5% installation
POST CHECKS Tolerances/ Acceptable Ranges / Codes
(H) All members/ Panels are as per drawings
1 Glass Panels
2 Spandrel Panels
2 Openable Panels
(I) Are all opening and Closing functions smooth?
(J) Is hardware locking smooth?
(K) Are openable panels seal/leakage proof?
(L) Are gaps properly filled with sealant
1 Al frame to Al frame
2 Mullion to Glass
3 Glass to Glass
