Desired Learning Outcome: the students will be able to identify and classify different patterns around them.

You are a group of researchers who were tasked by your supervisor to make a video presentation about
patterns in nature, art, and life. You will classify patterns into categories and give examples to share your
findings with the students at the symposium. Your video will be 5 to 10 minutes long and have an
introduction, body, and conclusion. You will be graded on content, organization, delivery, and creativity.

Desired Learning Outcome: the students will be able to incorporate geometric designs in making a product for
business.

You and your friends are entrepreneurs who likes geometry and wants to start a business. Your
customers are people who are interested in products that are beautiful, useful, and affordable. You will
make a product that you can make with the materials and tools that you have and write a business plan
for it. Your business plan should include the name, logo, slogan, description, features, cost, revenue,
marketing, and distribution of your product. You should also explain how your product uses geometric
designs and why it is appealing to customers. The company and the investors will judge your product and
business plan based on their quality, originality, and marketability.

Desired Learning Outcome: the students will be able to apply graph theory to design and improve transportation
network practically.

You are a group of transportation engineers working for a consulting firm, that have been contracted by
the local city government to devise an optimal transportation network. goal is to minimize travel time,
cost, and environmental impact for both commuters and service providers. Utilizing the current map,
data of the city's transportation network, and demographic geographic information, we will employ graph
theory to model, analyze, and optimize the transportation network. Your approach will consider various
criteria and constraints, including travel time, cost, capacity, reliability, safety, and environmental impact.
The City Council will review and approve our proposal based on its feasibility, efficiency, and
sustainability. You will also present your work to the public, who will offer feedback and suggestions. The
assessment of your transportation network optimization proposal will hinge on its accuracy,
completeness, clarity, and creativity.
