SAPID raised concern about the SAES-W-012 Para 10.7.6 of Duration of Each Clad Welding Joint's Welding Duration requirement.
- As per SAES-W-012 Para 10.7.6, "welded joints shall be completed within 24 hours after starting". As per the Approved WPS, the Full GTAW process of Each
36" with Max. thick of 28mm+3mm CRA welding will take a minimum of 5 days by two welders to complete.

SAPID raised concern about the Back Purging According to Cladding Standard SAES-W-019 (1).
- As per SAES-W-019 Pra 7.4, "Back purging shall be carried out using inert gas conforming to AWS A5.32 and the back purging shall be maintained until the
completion of at least 10 mm of the weld deposit thickness.
Field Clad Joint Welding Back Purging - Due to no access, the end of the tie-in joint will be sealed by water-soluble paper, and back purging between the sealed space until the root completed. An 29-Feb-2024
