Cloud Password Reset Process Must Be Initiated Before Moving A Database To On-Premise Environment
2801108 - Cloud Password Reset Process Must Be Initiated Before Moving a Database
to On-Premise Environment.
Component: SBO-CLD (SAP Business One Cloud), Version: 2, Released On: 05.12.2019
Symptom
A partner needs to transfer a customer database from the cloud to an on-premise environment for testing, development, or
customization processes.
Before the transfer, the partner needs to change the password of the user 'manager' according to the steps in this SAP
Note; otherwise, there will be no Super User account available in SAP Business One in the on-premise environment.
Cause
In a cloud environment, you can assign Super User permissions only to cloud operators.
Only cloud operators can map users with the type Super User.
For more information, see Administrator's Guide - SAP Business One Cloud.
Solution
1. To the tenant in Cloud Control Center, add the SAP Business One user that will become a Super User in the final step.
Please note that below we will use manager as an example, but the same is valid for any user that has to be active in the
On Premise environment. Do not remove a user that you require in the on-premise environment.
In case you are a partner of customers in SAP Hosted Cloud, you need to create a new support incident under the SBO-CDS-SER
component, requesting to map the SAP Business One user 'manager' to the domain user account (System User) as a Super User in Cloud Control
Center.
In case you are a reseller operator, contact your infrastructure provider. Request mapping the SAP Business One user 'manager' to a domain
user account as a Super User in Cloud Control Center.
2. The SAP DevOps team or the infrastructure provider maps the Super User to a dummy MS Windows user, as per the
screenshot above, and informs the partner / reseller that the mapping has been completed.
3. The partner / reseller logs in to SAP Business One / tenant with the partner support user account 'PSU', and changes the
password of and unlocks the user 'manager' (Administration → Setup → General → Users - the fields Password
and Locked).
4. The partner makes an export of the tenant and restores the backup in the on-premise environment.
5. The partner or customer can now log on with the 'manager' user to SAP Business One On Premise.
In case you face any issue with the above steps, please log a support incident using the component SBO-ADM-SET-GEN.
