BREAKING GROUNDS
In the year 1981,

Dr. R. Thangappan, B.Sc. (Tech) Chem. Engg., Ph.D., MIE., MIIChE,

identified corrosion as a major threat to the chemical industry. Though new materials were being developed worldwide every day, very little attention was being paid to fabricate equipments using exotic metals, due to the complexity involved. The challenge of changing this has been the launch pad for
FSAEST, TITANIUM TANTALUM PRODUCTS LTD.

His invention of ACTIVATED TITANIUM METAL ANODES was the start to his mission, To be the company of choice to customer of value in providing Solution
to Corrosion, by Engineering Excellence in Exotic Metals Since 1981.

Today, TiTaN stands as a reliable partner to all its clients in providing solutions to almost all their corrosion problems. It has developed its in-house capabilities to handle all Exotic metal fabrication needs with its sound engineering practices and modern infrastructure and facilities. Through its continuous Research & Development programs, TiTaN has successfully introduces various processes and services including electrochlorination system design, manufacturing and commissioning to the industry. With many equipments, projects designed, engineered and executed successfully, many more under manufacture and with major enquiries for similar, new projects from world over, TiTaN today is one of the leading fabricators of exotic metals in India. With its reputation for reliability and quality, the companys growth has sustained this sense of achievement and provided a direction for challenges in future.

The company commenced its commercial activities with more emphasis on Activated Titanium Metal for Chlorate Anodes and Caustic Chlorine Production.

1984 - 1986
Manufactured and

supplied Electroplating accessories to various Electroplating Industries.

1987
Manufactured the first Titanium fabricated Pump for Ballarpur Indus-

tries, Gujarat for thier Bromine Plant. Manufactured the first Titanium Heatexchanger for Andhra Sugars, Andra Pradesh.

Complete Titanium equipment including ClO2 Generators & Cells supplied to the first ever ClO2 plant for pulp & paper industry in India. On site shutdown maintenance and repair works on urea synthesis reactors commenced this year.

Successfully developed mambrane cell technology for causticchlorine industry and pilot plant was commissioned Number of Heatexchangers & Ti lined vessels suppled to M/s. Kanoria Chemicals, UP.
