WHAT IS THE GLASS CEILING?
The glass ceiling refers to the set of unwritten rules within
organisations that make it difficult for women to gain access to top
management positions.

Its invisibility is a result of the absence of visible laws and codes

that impose such a constraint on women.

Some causes of glass ceiling are sick leave due to the pregnancy and
maternity, family conciliation…

The main purpose of a company is to obtain the maximum profit, and for
this they need a good performance of the business.

The barriers that we have mentioned previously are seen as a problem for
the normal development of business activity.

That’s why unconsciously or not, people associate men more than women
with the concept of availability at work. Because of this in the most couples
the men continue with their job and the women choose to take care of the
children or other family problems.

Nowadays, men and women have the same opportunities to take high
positions.

It could be possible that today society or some people have a similar

mentality like years ago, but nowadays the glass ceiling doesn’t exist.
