1/12 Service Bulletin G-6.11

1 INTRODUCTION
Reliability and availability have a big impact on modern engines and the auxiliary equipment. These
factors depend not only on high quality products, but also on well trained engineers who are highly
skilled in their respective work fields.
As your training partner, we are committed to ensure that you are properly trained by the most
efficient and cost-effective methods and this for more than 40 years. Furthermore, courses can also be
organised at owner’s or operator’s premises.
Adequate training allows your engineers to operate and maintain the modern engines and the auxiliary
equipment in such a way that reliability and availability of the engine are maximized.
Our Customer Training Courses as mentioned in this Service Bulletin pass on and expend
knowledge about engine particulars, operation, maintenance and overhaul.
The Courses cover not only engines but also their control systems, as well as water, fuel and
lubricating oil treatment and the ancillary systems that directly influence engine operation.
Note: All Training Courses for Sulzer Z40, ZA40 and ZA40S engines will be conducted by
Wärtsilä Italia S.p.A. or Wärtsilä Subic Regional Training Centre, Philippines. For Training
programs and schedules related to those engine types please contact Wärtsilä Italia S.p.A.. or
Wärtsilä Subic Regional Training Centre, Philippines, directly.
Our Maintenance Videos for RTA-Engines are covered by a separate Service Bulletin and serve as
an addition to our customer courses as a bridge between theory, manuals and engine room practice.
Our Homepage on the Internet can be found at http://www.wartsila.com and gives you additional
information, such as detailed course programs as well as our maintenance video films. Please see page
Service Products & Services Training Land & Sea Academy.
