Pros and cons of learning a language with a native speaker.

Some people consider that learning with a native speaker is an advantage. But, the
process of learning can be easier for some and more difficult for others. Here some
advantages and disadvantages of learning with a native speaker.

First of all, learn a language with a native speaker can be quickly. Because the native
speaker is the expert in that language, and learners can pick up authentic
pronunciation.

Secondly, native speakers give more exposure to the target language. Learners can
learn vocabulary and useful idiomatic expressions to speak.

Last but not least, learning with a native speakers provide experience and tips of the
language. Those tips could be for speak very well the language or about culture.

On the other hand, there are some disadvantages such as the use of slang from native
speakers. Sometimes the learners want to learn with the native speaker to improve
some aspects of the language, but native speakers usually use informal language to
express them (Slang). It can generate misunderstanding in learners.

Moreover, another disadvantage is the cultural shocks, it means that if learners do not
know about the cultural moods or vice versa. It can cause problems with the
interactions between each other (learner and native speaker).

Finally, some native speakers do not know how to teach with the strategies and
methodologies. What does it means? Sometimes, native speakers have difficulties to
adapt their language to the learners learning needs.

To sum up, there are more benefits when you decide to learn a language with a native
speaker but there will be always difficulties to acquire a new language with a native
speaker. Learning a language with a native speaker offers numerous advantages. Yet, it
is important to acknowledge that mastering a new language through this approach can
also present inherent challenges.
