Projects and Internships

● Speckle Noise Reduction in Ultra Sound Images (on going)
This project aims at reducing speckle noise produced due to interference in ultra sound
images. It uses the technique ICA (Independent component Analysis) for separating the
parent components.

● CRM for Airlines Industry (on going)

This provides a comprehensive software package for CRM in Airlines industry. It
includes modules such as Direct Marketing Module, Sales Module, Call center Module
and Help desk Module.

● DCT based visible watermarking technique

This technique is used for watermarking of gray scale images. It works especially well
on textures. The algorithm takes the visual properties of the image into consideration.
It also compares the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) of different images.

● CVP analysis of Palmetto soups

A detailed analysis was done for Palmetto Soups which wants to transform itself from a
labor intensive industry to a capital intensive industry. Risk analysis was carried out
and it was concluded that the company should not transform itself.

● Complaint and Response System

This system stream lines the flow complaints in an academic institute by dividing the
complaints into different categories and assigning them to different authorities. This
system also maintains a list of all the complaints that have been deleted or addressed
there by giving the authorities a rough idea of what kind of problems are generally
faced by students and future course of action to be implemented.
 ● Infrastructure Management System
This system totally automates the process of managing infrastructure in an
academic institute. Each and every student and the concerned authority are provided
with a login-id and password. Also the details of total infrastructure are maintained in a
database.

● Implementation of Customized finger utility server

A Finger server with capability to take multiple arguments in the same command
line was successfully implemented. It also has the capability to interpret the command
without @ in case the user name is that of a local machine.
