Seam allowance is 3/8”
back panel front panel basic version RECOMMENDED FABRICS:

Let’s get sewing!


The Basic Version:
1 **If you’re doing the After prewashing fabric, cut

child’s size, measure
from the bottom edge
of pant and mark
Take your front pocket pieces
where the bottom edge
of the pocket will go.
4 and mark where eyelets will go,
using your pattern as a guide. Pin
18mos/24mos = 7” the lining of pockets to the
9”8”7” 2T/3T = 8” front pocket pieces with right-
4T = 9” sides together. Stitch along the
entire edge with a 2” opening
along the bottom edge of pockets.

Trim the corners


5 and clip notches
along the curved
edges. Turn right-
side out and
press along seam.

Topstitch 1” from

and add eyelets to
where you placed
your markings.

Once topstitch and eyelets are done, find

in half and gently press the folded cor-

Match bottom crease on pocket to the marking fig10

with rightsides
together and stitch
along both crotch
seams.

Start making the casing for the elastic

raw edge towards the wrongside of

Fold over again 1 1/4” and Stitch along folded edge and

15 press. 16 leave a 2” opening for elastic.
Cut elastic to suit child’s

If you’re looking for a simple, no-fuss pant this is it. While

up and have it ready to wear when the babe wakes. I know...
