Guidelines for Material Identification and

Use (MIU)
1. Search for teaching materials related to teaching one of the following grammar topics:
a. Subject pronouns and possessive adjectives with be (BASIC 01)
b. Adjectives with be (BASIC 01)
c. Spelling rules for forming plural nouns (BASIC 01)
d. This / that / these / those (BASIC 01)
e. The present continuous tense: Affirmative and Negative Statement (BASIC 02)
f. The present continuous tense: Wh-Questions and Answers (BASIC 02)
g. Simple present: affirmative and negative statements (BASIC 02)
h. Simple present: yes/no questions (BASIC 02)
i. Possessive nouns (BASIC 02)
j. Have: questions and answers (BASIC 02)
2. Present the material in class. Explain how the material relates to the concept we
discussed in this course and why it is effective.
3. Write a report. It should have the following structure:
a. Your last name and page number on the top right corner of the page.
b. Your details (name, teacher’s name, name of course, due date) in the following
line on the top left corner of the page.
c. Title
d. Subtitle (if there is one)
e. Works cited (if any)
4. The above report should follow an MLA Style. Look at the image attached below.
5. Use the template provided for this purpose in this link https://templates.office.com/en-
us/mla-style-research-paper-tm03984841
6. Upload your report to MIU file on CANVAS.
7. Be ready to explain the results of your findings to either the instructor or your classmate
or everybody.
