Anchor 1: The Department of Health (DOH) has released a total of 76.1 billion pesos for the

health emergency allowance of the health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The General

Appropriations Act allocated 19.9 billion pesos for health emergency allowance, and the DOH

has already distributed 19.7 billion to eligible health facilities. However, the agency still needs

27 billion pesos for areas filed by the health practitioners.

Anchor 2: Twenty-two areas in the country are under a drug spell and 12 more are experiencing

dry conditions. Data from the Department of Agriculture showed agricultural damage in eight

regions that has reached 1.75 billion pesos as El Niño continues to weaken. The warm event may

continue from March to May season before transitioning to neutral conditions. PAG-ASA

Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section Chief Ana Liza Solis said that while the impacts of

the weakening El Niño could last through May.

News Presenter: China claps back after United States Secretary Anthony Blinken started the

loyalty and sacrifices made by US former President George Washington to protect the

Philippines against harm. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said that the US has no

entitlement over the on-going issue on the South China Sea. He added that the alliance between

the Philippines and America must not affect sovereignty and maritime rights of China, as its
country will take necessary measures to defend its territory, to maintain their rights , peace and

stability over the South China Sea.

University of the Philippines in four sets. Here’s Alliah Jocson for the details.

Sports Presenter: The National University Lady Bulldogs bounces back from a close loss as they

recalibrate against University of the Philippines Lady Maroons in four thrilling sets, 25-21, 30-

32, 25-17, 25-19 in the UAAP Season 86 Women’s Volleyball at the Smart Araneta Colisuem in

Quezon City. Defending champions, Vange Alinsug and Bella Belen led the reclaiming glory as

they spiked in double digits, 24 and 21 points, respectively. However, it was not an easy win for

the bulldogs as they found themselves losing in the second set. Belen capped a relentless third

and fourth set, sealing their first game of the second round’s recovery victory. \
