DLAC Narrative Report Feb. 5 2024
DLAC Narrative Report Feb. 5 2024
Students are the heart of education. Students’ experiences both from their
parents and school may affect the students’ perception and behavior at the present
and in the future. It is a must that teachers should know how to handle students in a
way that they will be able to open up and feel welcome. Getting the students’
attention is now a challenge to the teachers. Students are now exposed to
technology that supposedly be taken advantage for their studying. In the contrary,
some students were out of focus because of this. With this, teachers are challenged
on how to be innovative. This session for DLAC caters the mentioned concerns.
POSITIVE DISCIPLINE and INNOVATIVE WAYS of TEACHING in Matatag
Curriculum are the topics for this Department Learning Action Cell (DLAC).
Ma’am Alcazar emphasized the value of love and care as we deal with all the
students since each child was raised in different way.
10. Visual-Based Learning – Visual learning can help teachers light up dull
subjects that may seem less interesting for students. Its benefits are
making learning simplified; longer knowledge retention and learning
becomes fun.
No matter how effective these innovative methods are, teachers first need
to be trained well in order to be able to implement them well. Teachers need to
be equipped with the proper knowledge and implementation skills.
Both the speakers explained the topic well despite time constraints. They
really shared their expertise, experiences and knowledge to the group.
