INTRODUCTION

Performance management as defined as the process of continuous


communication and feedback between a manager and employee toward the
achievement of organization culture evolving to one of continuous feedback power
by technology, where manager can foresee problem based on current employee
performance and initiate any form of course correction to bring the employee back on
track.

Performance management includes activities to ensure that goals are consistently


being met in an effective and efficient manner. Performance management can focus
on performance of the organization, a department, processes to build a product or
service, employees,

Performance management can be defined as the development of individuals with


competence and commitment, working towards the achievement of shared meaningful
objectives within an organization which supports and encourages their achievement.

Michael Armstrong have defined performance management is a strategic and


integrated approach to delivering sustained success to organizations by improving the
performance of the people who work in them and by developing the capabilities of
teams and individual contributors.

 To determine goals of the employees in organization.


 To analyze training and development for the employees.
 To evaluate the promotional policy in the organization.
 To measure the role of the manager in employee performance.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

 To identify the employee training needs.


 To determine employee reward and benefits.
 Being actively involved the planning and management of services.
 To right to have all training and orientation as per job specification.
