Introduction:
 A former investment banker, Ehsan Saya is the Managing Director at
Daraz Pakistan. In 2018, Saya returned from Canada to join the leading
e-commerce marketplace.
 Ehsan brings over 13 years of experience across industries like
investment banking, logistics, and ecommerce. Under Ehsan’s
leadership, Daraz was awarded the Gender Diversity Award by the
Pakistan Business Council for promoting gender diversity, inclusion, and
equity.
 Daraz is the leading online marketplace in South Asia (excluding Indian
market). It is a mall, a community, and a marketplace - all in your
pocket. Within Pakistan only, Daraz have created 50,000 jobs; and
every month, this platform train and educate about 3,000 sellers.

Reason behind success of Daraz:
 Firstly, they expanded their product assortment to 10 million, compared
to 3 million a year ago, and enhanced customer experience with AI for
personalized service.
 Secondly, they introduced Daraz Mall as a genuine product channel on
the app, allowing premium clients, 14-day returns, and a cross-border
channel from China and Turkey for unavailable items in Pakistan.
 Thirdly, they made it easy to make payments.
 Fourth, we have also launched image reviews to make the customer
experience easier.
 Fifth, as much as Daraz is a marketplace, it also provides a platform
university for entrepreneurs.
