MISSION

A university committed to producing leaders by providing a 21st century learning environment


through innovations in education, multidisciplinary research, and community and industry
partnerships in order to nurture the spirit of nationhood, propel the national economy, and
engage the world for sustainable development.

The St. Raphael’s School of Medicine is committed to provide quality health service that are
available, attainable, and acceptable for everyone by producing culturally competent,
committed, socially responsive, and exemplary physicians that is committed in addressing the
needs of the society.

The Central Michigan University College of Medicine educates diverse students and trains
culturally competent physicians to provide comprehensive health care and services to
underserved populations in Michigan and beyond. Our faculty, staff and graduates advance
health and wellness through exceptional education, innovative research, quality patient care
and strategic collaborations to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and
communities.

Guided by moral, ethical and spiritual values; we commit ourselves to excellence and leadership
in community-oriented medical education, research and service; using the Primary Health Care
Approach; intended especially for the underserved.

The Florida State University College of Medicine will educate and develop exemplary physicians
who practice patient centered health care, discover and advance knowledge, and are
responsive to community needs, especially through service to elder, rural, minority, and
underserved populations.

To provide deserving students an affordable medical education that is in consonance with the
concept of a socially accountable primary health care physician equally prepared for post
graduate studies, research, teaching and specialized training. We dedicate our individual and
institutional efforts and resources to the: •
Promotion of a dynamic medical education that is sensitive, responsive, relevant, as well as
committed in addressing the needs of society, particularly in Northern Mindanao; •

Affirmation that our medical school will graduate physicians who are competent, socially
responsive, committed, and morally upright human beings, in accordance with the Jesuit
philosophy; •

Provision of health care services that are acceptable, accessible, available, and affordable to the
consumers of these services.
