AGENDA 1: Appointment of SK Secretary and Treasurer

 SK Chairman appointed Mr. Jhon Ryan C. Saura as SK Secretary (no objection from the
Councils).
 SK Chairman appoints Marc Arvin Antivo as SK Treasurer.. (objections by some of the
councils)
o Objection from SK Councilor Caballero while postulating that Mr. Ednell Jay
Jerios is more knowledgeable and qualified.
o SK Councilor Abragan counter-argued that according to the sec. 10 of the SK
Reform Act, Macoy is qualified to become SK Treasurer for he does not have any
disqualifications and is qualified to be appointed thereof based on sec. 8 (n) of the
said act.
o SK Councilor Caballero disagreed again, stating the same reason, and proceeded
to suggest the appointment of Mr. Ednell Jay Jerios.
o Meanwhile, SK Chairman Benitez, while admiring the qualities of Mr. Jerios,
asserted that Macoy Antivo is more than qualified because there is no
disqualification on his part and Macoy is pursuing a degree in business
administration which is suited for the position of SK Treasurer pursuant to the
qualifications directed by the law.
o SK Councilor Cuevas suggested for the nomination of the Former SK
Kagawad Ralph John Rica
o SK Chairman said the course/degree of Rica is not related to the position and
duty of treasurer, but SK Councilor Sumoroy argued that it must not be based on
the relevance of the degree. SK Councilor Cuevas supplemented this idea by
saying that Mr. Rica is qualified because of his experiences.
o The councils, together with the chairman, decided to have a vote between Mr.
Antivo and Mr. Rica for the position of SK Treasurer.
o Mr. Rica won, receiving four (4) votes from the councils, while Mr. Antivo
