Standard Operating Procedure- Onsite Work Safety DSS-MS-007

In assuming the responsibility for all heavy and over - sized cargo packing and securing “Dragon Star
Employees will warranty:

Survey the cargo before starting the job. Ensure no visible damage and take photo graphs for
record.
Report the damage if any to the customer in writing before starting the work.
Collect the technical details from the customer.
Take the exact measurement.
Check the lifting and lashing points and ensure the lashing team are using the correct lifting and
lashing point.
Check the condition of the lifting equipment’s and ensures that they are in good condition.
Check the capacity of the lifting equipment’s and ensures it is good enough to lift the cargo.
All electrical and electronic equipment specified for Hazardous Area Installation shall be subject to
inspection by a nominated representative either by the customer or an approved supplier.
Ensure cargo is lifted from the lifting point as indicated in the drawings or cargo.
Inspect the Truck & Trailer, container in which the cargo to be loaded and ensure the condition of
tyres, load capacity, length and width of the trailer suitable for the cargo size and condition of the
container.
Ensure center of gravity is taken into consideration at the time of loading.

Ensure the cargo is labeled correctly to ensure that the goods are handled properly and arrive on
time and at the right place.
Take photographic evidence of loading and lashing of the cargo.
Be responsible for the co-ordination and communication with the customer relevant to the
execution of work.
