2.1 Narrative Report

Before beginning my deployment, I participated in the

initial orientation for the work immersion program and
underwent an interview with Mrs. Rachel Ann Drio, our
designated Focal Person. Additionally, my mother attended a
seminar on preparing for the work immersion.

On our first day at Jabez Cooperative, my team and I felt

a blend of excitement and nervousness. Ma’am Aira granted us
entry while we awaited her instructions. Shortly after, she
briefed us on our tasks, which began with cleaning the premises
including floors and tables. Once cleaning was complete, we
gathered and awaited further guidance. Our initial team task
involved organizing credit forms alphabetically, with my specific
role being the preparation of receipts. We subsequently sorted
loan application forms, arranged the loan ledger, and calculated
interest payments.

The following day of our immersion, we commenced with

another round of cleaning before each member focused on
arranging credit forms. Subsequently, we transferred receipt
data to the journal, each member handling ten receipts. We
then proceeded to encode the receipts and list loan data on
bond paper. Our team developed an efficient process for
inputting loan data, with Michaela responsible for initial data
entry and others handling interest calculations. My
responsibility was to verify the information entered by Michaela.
Meanwhile, Ma'am Aloha assigned me to record delinquency
accounts while others continued listing loan data.

On the third day, we repeated our tasks of cleaning,

organizing, and encoding receipts, with the additional
responsibility falling on me to prepare lunch. The routine of
cleaning continued on the fourth day, as directed by Ma'am
Aira. I took over encoding duties temporarily at the pastor's
request while he was away. After a break for lunch, I resumed
work and eventually created official receipts as instructed by
Ma'am Aira. Our final task involved organizing folders
chronologically and alphabetically by year.

On the sixth day of our work immersion at Jabez

Cooperative, our tasks continued with a similar rhythm. We
started the day with thorough cleaning, ensuring the workspace
remained tidy and organized. Following this routine, I took
charge of preparing official receipts once again, while my
teammates focused on their designated tasks such as encoding,
organizing documents, and handling administrative duties.
Despite the repetition of tasks, each day presented new
challenges and opportunities for learning.

As we progressed into the seventh day, our familiarity

with the cooperative's operations grew, allowing us to streamline
our workflow further. Ma'am Aira entrusted me with additional
responsibilities, including cross-checking loan data for accuracy
and assisting in drafting correspondence. Meanwhile, my
teammates continued to excel in their respective roles,
contributing to the overall efficiency of our team.

By the eighth day, our collaboration had reached a well-

coordinated level. We implemented minor adjustments to our

procedures to enhance efficiency, such as reorganizing

workstations and optimizing data entry processes. Additionally,
I assisted Ma'am Aloha in preparing financial reports, gaining
valuable insight into the cooperative's financial management
practices.

Moving into the ninth day, our efforts focused on

addressing any lingering administrative tasks and ensuring all
records were accurately updated. I took the initiative to conduct
a thorough review of our documentation, identifying and
rectifying discrepancies to maintain data integrity. Additionally,
I collaborated with my peers to finalize outstanding tasks and
prepare for the conclusion of our immersion program.

On the tenth and final day of our immersion at Jabez

Cooperative, we reflected on our achievements and celebrated
our collective contributions to the organization. Ma'am Aira
expressed her appreciation for our dedication and hard work
throughout the program. As we bid farewell to our colleagues,
we left behind a legacy of efficiency and professionalism,
knowing that our experiences had not only enriched our own
skills but also made a positive impact on the cooperative's
operations.

These 80 hours, or ten days, of our Work Immersion

provided a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. We
learned the value of reliance and mutual support, enhancing
our knowledge and skills along the way. I am deeply grateful to
this company for their warm hospitality and for making us feel
at home during our time here.

4. Conclusion
4.1 Learning from the Immersion program

I learned from the ten days immersion

program how different it is from the usual
accounting of a usual business. I learned how to
compute the tax and how the accounting
department works, and all transactions were
recoded in the journal book. How to make Receipt
and how the Daydee Quijano Soft drink Store runs
their business. I experienced being an accountant.
Aside from that, the most special thing is that I
gathered experience and gain life -long learning.
It’s been a learning experience for me, that clear
communication, mutual encouragement and
understanding of each team member’s role are
essential to achieve our shared objectives
efficiently. In the light of these invaluable lessons
in teamwork, will undoubtedly be a source of
inspiration for me as collaboration is one of the
most important parts of success in any field. In
addition, I’ve learned how important it is to listen

actively. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge during the

immersion program, which has helped me
understand certain things. I’m developing patience
and a wide knowledge of the subject at hand. And
I’ve been taught how to communicate well and
work with others. During our on-the-job training,
we’ve learned a lot of good lessons. We’ve also
learned how to efficiently manage our time,
starting with the moment we got into this
occupational immersion facility and lasting until
we came back.
