PERSUASIVE TEXT
is any text where the main
purpose is to present a point of
view and seeks to persuade a
reader. It can be an argument,
exposition, discussion, review or
even an advertisement.
1. USE OF PASSIVE VOICE
 It is used when the focus is on
the action of the person or thing
affected.
 The emphasis of your
statement is at the beginning of
a sentence.
Example: Papers must be
submitted forward.
4. USE OF CLEFT
SENTENCES: WHAT
-It is used to emphasize a
specific subject or object. The
clause introduced by “what” is
used as the subject or object
of the sentence.
Example: What I need is
peace of mind.
5. USE OF "DO" OR "DID"
 We use auxiliary verbs “do” and
“did” to add emphasis on
sentences.
Example: You did create a
spectacular artwork

2. USE OF INVERTED WORD

ORDER
 In using this, the phrases or
other expressions precedes a
subject.
Exaample: Always do I
pray for the blessings I
receive.

3. USE OF CLEFT
SENTENCES: IT
 It is used to focus on a word or
phrase and to emphasize the
intention of the messages by
changing the normal sentence
pattern with relative pronoun “it
is” or “it was.”
Example: It was she who
received my letter.

 is used for gathering information

 A concept map shows relationships
between the main idea and other
information.
 Concepts or ideas are represented
in circles or boxes and are linked to
VENN DIAGRAM
 is used to compare and contrast two
or more groups of things by visually
displaying their similarities and
differences in two or more circles
that overlap.

HEXAGON ORGANIZER
 In a hexagon idea organizer,
hexagons are arranged on the page
with straight edges connected.
