Examples of each of the 9 r’s

Reduce: This can be done, for example, by choosing products with less packaging or reusable
packaging, turning off lights and appliances when not in use.
Reuse: such as using reusable bags instead of plastic bags, repairing products or objects instead of
buying new ones, donating or selling things we no longer need
Recycle: refers to the process of recycling materials to manufacture new products. Such as plastic,
paper, glass, etc.
Refuse: the electronic invoice, which makes the use of paper unnecessary for consultation or
presentation.
Rethink: we must ask ourselves how is this done? Then I'm going to consume something
unnecessary.
Repair: for example, yellow machinery that can be repaired, extending its useful life.
Restore: bridges, roads or, for example, the hanging flower tunnel in Japan
Remanufacturing: Car mats are mainly manufactured from recycled PET.
Recover: glass or tires can be used for paths or children's play floors.

Reduce: Reduce the consumption of raw materials and resources to produce a good or product.

Reuse: Use the good or product again for the same or different purpose. If a product is in good condition and
fulfills its original function, it should continue to be used.

Recycle: Transform materials to incorporate them into production processes as new raw materials.

Refuse: It basically consists of giving up certain products or parts of them that are no longer necessary, or
redefining them in such a way that it is no longer necessary to produce them.

Rethink: Design or redesign a product to produce less waste and increase its useful life.
