A. Drill Bring Me!

The First pupil who will bring the thing that can
be found inside their bag or in the classroom
that represents the spatial figure that the teacher The students
will say, will we get 1 point. Those who will
earn points will be the winner.

Ex. Bring me a thing that represents a

rectangular prism.

B. Review 1. My base is a triangle ang my faces are Triangular Prism

rectangles. Who am I?
2. I am a spatial figure with polygonal
base whose edges meet at a common
Pyramid
vertex. Who am I?
3. I am a spatial figure having a circular
base and one vertex. Who am I?
4. I am a spatial figure with 2 parallel Cone
congruent faces called bases and the
other faces are parallelograms. Who am
I?
5. I am a spatial figure with 2 circular Rectangular Prism
bases, no edge, and no vertex. Who am
I?

C. Motivation Every morning we take our breakfast to

jumpstart our day. Breakfast is the first and
most important meal of the day. People have
different preference for breakfast. Some prefer
to have a light breakfast, while others want it
heavy. One good example of a healthy
breakfast is a bowl of cereals. All cereals are
available in a similar box. What kind of solid

figure is it? Have you tried unfolding cereal

box?

D. Presentation/ A net is a
Discussion closed
plane figure
that can be
folded into
a closed 3-
dimensional
figure. It is
a pattern
you can use
to form solid figures.

Plane figures are used to show the nets of solid

figures. All the flat parts of a solid figure are
called faces. The line where two faces meet is
called an edge. The point where three edges
meet is called a vertex.

A. The net shows two rectangular bases,

and two pairs of rectangular lateral
faces. Thus, the solid figure that can be
formed is a rectangular prism.

This can is a Cylinder. You can unroll a

cylinder so that it shows a net with two circular
bases which are congruent, parallel, and has a
rectangular lateral face.

A birthday hat is a cone. The net

shows a curved face and a circular
base.

Each group will make 2 different nets for the

following.

E. Groupwork Group 1: Cube The pupils will choose the solid

figure of the given net
Group 3: Cylinder
