BCM88808
Addendum to the BCM88800 Data Sheet

Overview
This document serves as the official specification for the Broadcom® BCM88808 device. This device is a member of the
BCM88800 series with a customized feature set.

This document describes the differences between the BCM88808 device and the BCM88800 device. The information in the
BCM88800 data sheet (88800-DS1xx) applies to the BCM88808 device, with this document as the addendum.

Features
The BCM88808 is functionally identical to the BCM88800, except for the differences that the following section describes.

BCM88808 and BCM88800 Differences

This section provides information about the differences between the BCM88808 and BCM88800 devices.

System Interfaces
The BCM88808 system interfaces have the following characteristics:
 Support for 72 × 25-Gb/s lanes of network interface (NIF).

Enabled port macros are PM25_04 to PM25_19 and PM50_2.

 No support for 200GbE or 400GbE.
 No support for Interlaken interfaces.
 No support for an external lookup (ELK) interface.

Performance
The BCM88808 cannot exceed 1.44 Tb/s for any packet size.

The BCM88808 cannot exceed 600 Mp/s.

Core Clock
The BCM88808 core clock operates at 900 MHz.

Other Differences
The BCM88808 does not support the TDM bypass mode.
