it is best to open a new gmail

account when you are starting
your online business so that you
can have a dedicated account for
your business.Not only will you
be able to sign Into your Etsy
shop but this gmail account can
be used as a form of contact for
your customers. So when
creating your gmail, be sure to
use a business name tha you
want your shop to be recognized
as.

Once you create your free gmail

account you can easily sign In
with google.

If you have Issues coming up with a business name, you can use a free
business name generator like Canva to help come up woth a name. Just
describe the type of name you want and what type of shop you have.
Ex: Catchy business names for an online t-shirt shop.

Make sure your business name reflects what your business does.
Choose a name that is easy to remember.
Avoid overly complex or difficult-to-spell names.
Conduct thorough research to ensure that the name you choose is not
already trademarked or being used by another business

COME UP WITH A NAME FOR YOUR SHOP

This should be the name that you came up with when you created
your email. If you decided to go with a different shop name from the
email you created, you would enter It here
CREATE A LISTING
When you're setting up your shop on Etsy, part of the process
involves creating at least one listing. This listing serves as a
temporary placeholder/mock listing just to get your shop activated
and ready for business. Think of it as a sort of "test" listing.

After your shop is activated, you can then upload your actual products

that you want to sell. Once your real products are uploaded, you can
delete this temporary listing. However, it's important not to delete the
temporary listing until you've uploaded your first official product. If
you delete it too soon, your shop will be deactivated.
So, keep the temporary listing in place until you're ready to replace it
with your first product.
Mock Listing

You can upload any photo here. Do not worry about uploading a video

If you are unsure of what to upload, Below Is a link to a mock photo that

You will be required to fill In the listing details.You will need a title and this
can be a random name.
In the about listing section and category you can select the same as below
Skip the primary and secondary color. You can choose manual for renewal.

Choose digital product because this is an easier product to upload for your
mock listing. Next, enter a simple description. Ex: Transform your space
with our vibrant digital artwork, perfect for adding a pop of color to any
room."

Skip production partners, section, tags and materials and come to price.
Choose a random price and quantity

You can use the same file that you uploaded for the photo and upload It
here under digital file. Once Its uploaded choose save and continue.

At this point congratulations! You have just created your first listing.
Remember this Is temporary and will be delted once you create your first
product and upload your official listing which you’ll do later.

You can now set up how you’ll get paid and enter your tax Information. You
do not have to have an LLC to be an Etsy seller. Most people tend to fall
under the Individual category. You will be required to enter your tax
Information. If you are In the United States you will enter your social security
nuber or EIN for businesses.
At this point you will need to set up billing. Although you received 40 free
listings you are still required to add a card to your account so that If you go
beyond those 40 listings you can be charged.

The final step Is to set up 2 factor authentication to protect your account In

case a hacker tries to get in.
CONGRATULATIONS
You have just taken the first step on this journey and you
have opened up your first online shop with Etsy.
