Veelan : Good day, everyone. Today, as members of the Health and Fitness Club, we’re
going to discuss various aspects of staying healthy. We have 4 speakers, each presenting a
different perspective on the best way to maintain good health. Let’s begin. As we know that
health and fitness is the most important aspect of our life. There is nothing more important than
health for any human being. When we are healthy and fit we are able to enjoy our life well. We
can talk to our near and dear one, we can laugh, smile, travel, enjoy food, and sleep well. But
when our health and fitness is not up to the mark, we are unable to do anything properly and stay
behind. We cannot enjoy eating, watching sports or movies. Our mood always remains negative
and we are unable to talk nicely with our near and dear or even sleep properly. Nazirul would
you like to share your opinion with us ?
Nazirul : Yes I would, thank you Veelan . I strongly believe that having a balanced diet is the
best way to stay healthy. Eating a healthy diet is all about feeling great, having more energy,
improving your health, and boosting your mood. Good nutrition, physical activity, and
healthy body weight are essential parts of a person’s overall health and well-being. There’s
no questioning the importance of healthy food in your life. Unless you maintain a proper diet
for a healthy body, you may be prone to diseases, infection, or even exhaustion. The
importance of nutritious food for children especially needs to be highlighted since otherwise
they may end up being prone to several growth and developmental problems. Some of the
most common health problems that arise from lack of a balanced diet are heart disease,
cancer, stroke, and diabetes. Did you agree with me Raja ?
Raja : I am sorry, Nazirul . I don’t agree with the point that you have just mentioned. I do not
think that having a balanced diet is the best way to stay healthy. In my opinion, I would say
that getting regular exercise is the best way to stay healthy. We can see that exercise has a
lot of benefits in today’s world. First of all, it helps in maintaining your weight. Moreover, it
also helps you reduce weight if you are overweight. It is because you burn calories when you
exercise. Further, it helps in developing your muscles. Thus, the rate of your body will increases
which helps to burn calories. Moreover, it also helps in improving the oxygen level and blood
flow of the body.
Veelan : I am sorry, Murli. I feel that getting sufficient sleep is not necessarily the best
solution. In my point of view taking food suppliments is the best way to stay healthy. Food
supplements can help you improve or maintain your overall health, and supplements can also
help you meet your daily requirements of essential nutrients. For example, calcium and
vitamin D can help build strong bones, and fiber can help to maintain bowel regularity.
Nazirul : I don’t agree with your point, Veelan. I think taking food suppliment are not
effective in helping to stay healthy as many supplements have mild effects with few risks.
But use caution. Some supplements may have side effects, especially if taken before surgery
or with other medicines. Supplements can also cause problems if you have certain health
conditions. And the effects of many supplements haven’t been tested in children, pregnant
women and other groups. So talk with your health care provider if you’re thinking about
taking food supplements. Don’t you agree with me, Raja ?
Raja : You have made your point view very clear. I agree with you but how about
maintaining good hygiene ? Do you think this is a good idea too ? I mean maintaining good
hygiene helps stop you from getting sick and spreading germs. Washing your hands often is a
good way to stop the germs on your hands making you sick. Bathing or showering often
helps prevent infections and body lice.
Nazirul : That’s a good idea, Raja. The good hygiene covers the ideas of getting balance diet.
Veelan : I beg to disagree. Too much washing and bathing disrupts the natural microbiome of
the skin. The result can be irritation, itching, and the development of various other issues.
Interestingly, too much paranoia regarding germs and bacteria can result in health issues. Our
bodies need some exposure to various types of bacteria in order to be healthy and for our
immune systems to operate optimally. That doesn’t mean you need to live in filth, but you
shouldn’t go to extremes trying to be immaculately clean either. Thing is, you can’t get rid of
all the microscopic bugs. They’re everywhere and on everything we touch and come into
contact with. A far better idea is to learn to coexist with them. You won’t get sick as often.

Murli : Well now that we have presented all our view points, what do you have to say,
Nazirul ?
Nazirul : I support the opinion of Murli that getting sufficient sleep is the most effective way
to stay healthy.
Raja : I guess Murli has a very good point there that getting sufficient sleep is the best way to
stay healthy.
Murli : Right, so we all agree that getting sufficient sleep is the best way to stay healthy.Does
anyone have anything else to say? Otherwise, let’s bring this discussion to a close. Alright
