As an individual with passion for sports and a track record of leadership and organizational
skills, I am excited to express my intent to serve as a Coordinator for Sportscom. From my
earliest school days, I have been deeply involved in various sports activities, including cricket,
badminton, carrom, and softball. I have proudly represented in numerous interschool and
intercollegiate tournaments, such as the Sahodaya Cricket Tournament, SOA CUP, and the
National Softball Championship, where I have honed my skills and demonstrated my
commitment to athletic excellence. Furthermore, my dedication to sports extends beyond the
field, as I have also been an integral member of the organizing committee during my
undergraduate years. Through events like Spardha, SOA CUP, SOAMUN and others, I have
gained invaluable experience in event management and coordination, showcasing my ability
to thrive in high-pressure environments and deliver exceptional results. My adaptability skills
and ability to work effectively within a team have been key strengths throughout my academic
and extracurricular pursuits.
During my shadow period within the Sportscom, I was actively involved in all aspects of
groundworks, from setting up equipment to maintaining the sports facilities. Additionally, I
contributed significantly to logistical operations, dedicating a substantial amount of time and
effort to support the committee's endeavours. In our recent event, RanXbhoomi, I took on the
sponsorship domain, where I enhanced my communication skills and successfully secured
sponsorship from Wonderworld, further illustrating my ability to deliver tangible outcomes in
a professional setting.
Looking ahead, I am eager to implement several initiatives in future to elevate the sports culture
on campus.
1. Organizing more in-house friendly matches and inter-college competitions, we can take
our sports culture to the next level, fostering camaraderie and healthy competition
among students.
2. Participating in top B-school’s sports events, we can not only showcase our talent but
also establish meaningful relationships with other institutions, enhancing our reputation
and network within the sporting community.
3. Increasing female participation by organizing female-specific events
4. Conducting selection trials for the university team at the outset, ensuring equal
opportunities for all athletes and fostering a diverse and inclusive sports environment.
In conclusion, I am deeply passionate about sports and committed to leveraging my skills and
experiences to contribute positively to Sportscom.
