READING TEXT
In a company with a diverse workforce, there is an open position for a
managerial role. The hiring committee consists of senior executives
responsible for evaluating candidates and selecting the most suitable
individual for the position. Among the candidates are Jane, a woman of
color, and John, a white man. The hiring committee, later found out that
John is in a dire situation, wherein he is a single father of three children,
and the position would be of great financial help. Despite Jane's
qualifications, achievements, and leadership skills demonstrated
throughout her career, she is far more well-off the committee assumes
that John is a better fit for the managerial role based solely on his
circumstances.
