Dear,

Parents welcome to my classroom I am so happy and look forward to working with your child. I
am writing all parents this letter to help explain more how I will be running my classroom. If you have
any questions, please feel free to talk to me or call me. Three main things that I will work with each child
is be healthy, be responsible, and be respectful. Daily activities will include taking turn and crafts for 30
min each day. For holidays I will work on big project with the children to take home to you. I am very
excited working with your children.

When I say be healthy to a toddler it is very hard for them to understand those words, so I will
work on activities for them that will help them understanding being healthy. During breakfast and lunch,
I will work on explaining and pointing out foods that are healthy and playing a game that allows them to
show me what they think is healthy. Another activity of being healthy is grabbing things like rocks, dirt
and explaining how if we eat them, they can make our tummy’s hurt. I believe children of any age are
very good listeners, for being responsible I will teach children to push in their chairs after eating and
picking up their toys after a transition, like before going outside or lunch time. After a good routine the
child usually does very well if we do it in order every day. Being respectful for young children that I have
seen is depended on how they feel or react to things. In helping each child to be respectful goes along
depending on how they are feeling or how they react to situation. I want you to know that I am trying
very hard teaching them to be respectful, but that will be taught as we go.

I want to appreciate you for taking your time reading this letter and I want you to know that I am
trying hard to help your child grow. I’m very aware that as parents you will always be their first teacher
and everything is well learned at home. We will have a good year and look forward to seeing tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Miss Adriana Villanueva
