Topic for you to try: Should we allow pets at school?

Remember, this is our structure:

1. Introduction: introduces your arguments, so tell me what you will be talking about in your
writing/exposition. In the introduction, you state your points (ideas).
2. Body paragraphs: the main part of your exposition, you list the reasons and expand on them
and discuss or write about why you believe your side of argument is true. If you have 2
points for your arguments, use 2 body paragraphs, if you have 3, use 3 body paragraphs.
3. Conclusion: Where you summarise everything in your body paragraphs and give your
readers a further reinforcement on why you believe your side is true.

An example:

Should uniform be worn at school. We choose no uniform at school.

Introduction:

Do you think students can focus more in comfortable clothes? I strongly believe that students should
not wear uniform at school because they are able to concentrate better in more comfortable
clothing, it can be difficult to find correct sizing and material for school uniforms and wearing
individual clothes can promote multiculturalism.

Body paragraph 1:

Firstly, I believe that there should not be uniform at school because students can focus better in
more comfortable clothing. Statistics show that 75% of students do not concentrate well in class
because they are distracted by their school uniform. This incredible number just tells us how terribly
affected many of us are by school uniform. Therefore, I believe that students do not have to wear
school uniform.

Body paragraph 2:

Furthermore, I believe that students do not have to wear uniform as it can be difficult to find correct
sizing and material for school uniforms. Also, parents do not have to worry about finding the perfect
uniform and shoe sizes for their child. School uniforms can also be costly and are hard to buy as
some parents do not have enough time to head to the store to buy uniforms. This is also why I
believe that uniform should not be worn at school.

Body paragraph 3:

Lastly, wearing individual clothes can promote multiculturalism. Wearing individual clothes can help
students showcase their cultures. By doing so, this allows many more people to understand and
value their peers and their cultures. Hence, this is why I also believe that uniform should not be
worn at school.

Conclusion:

To conclude, I believe that students do not need to wear school uniform as students can focus better
in more comfortable clothing, it can be difficult to find correct sizing and good material for uniforms
and it can promote multiculturalism. Now do you believe that students should not wear uniform?
