Plurals; count and non⁠-count nouns


To make words plural, add ⁠-s or ⁠-es.

For most words, add ⁠-s:


"a banana, two bananas"
"an orange, three oranges"

For words that end in ⁠-o, ⁠-s, ⁠-x, ⁠-ch or ⁠-sh, add ⁠-es:
"a tomato, two tomatoes"
"a sandwich, four sandwiches"
"a box, some boxes"

Non⁠-count nouns don't have singular or plural forms.
