SOCIO-ECONOMIC ASPECT

Every business is focused on obtaining profit. It is the motive that keeps

the companies in a constant innovation, the main purpose of every economic endeavour

that is undertaken. Although, the responsibilities of the business do not just lay in

earning the expected profit but also considering the interest of the society by being

responsible for the impacts of its activities on customers, employees, government,

environment and other industries. This aspect aims to discuss and determine how a

company should contribute in the welfare of the economy as a whole.

Some Filipino do not know ergonomics and most of the tools the

consumers are using every day are not ergonomically improved that can cause serious

damage overtime depending on the frequency of the use and the way it is used. This

gives the Melius Manufacturing Company to come up with the ergonomically designed

mechanical scoo-fer that can collect and transfer construction materials at the same

time instead of the conventional shovel as a means of collecting things. This will result

in safer and easier collecting and transferring for the consumers. The following provides

the socio-economic contribution that the company can offer to the society:

employees by providing a good and safe workplace and a just salary.

Economic Desirability

 Job Opportunities and Tax Generation. The Melius Manufacturing Company

will enhance the economic status of local and national government by creating

new job opportunities and provides increased revenue to the government by

means of tax payment that would help the localities as well as the economy in its

future government projects.

 Business Cycle. This refers to various trend that occur within a business, such

as economy-wide fluctuations in production, trade, and general economic

activity, management decisions are imped by where the company stands in

reference to a particular cycle.
