    Practices Of Culturally Sensitive Care

    The services nurses offer may extend to different cultures and backgrounds. Despite the

    current efforts to globalize and universalize health services, cultural competence remains a

    critical aspect of service delivery. I have learned through this course that nurses must ensure the

    services they deliver conforms to the respective culture of the patients to enhance their cultural

    competency. People of different backgrounds have different beliefs. Therefore, practicing this

    skill enhances patients' trust in the respective medical services offered because they feel

    respected. This aspect of the nursing profession can be further facilitated by EBP, which may

    guide certain strategies to accommodate different cultural values and backgrounds.
