ABSTRACT

GAS 12-B (2020), THE USE OF 21ST CENTURY TEACHING PEDAGOGY IN

RELATION TO ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AMONG GAS-12 STUDENTS OF ICT

INC. This study aims to identify the extent of using the 21 st century teaching pedagogy. To

determine the level of academic performance of the students. And to know if there is a

significance relationship of using 21st century teaching pedagogy to the academic

performance of the students.

In this study, the extent of using the 21st century teaching pedagogy, level of academic

performance of the students, and the significant relationship of using 21 st century teaching

pedagogy to the academic performance of the students were determined; it is quantitative

research that used survey probability sampling, specifically, the simple random sampling

technique was used in determining the selected 9 respondents of grade 12 General Academic

Strand teachers.

Based on the findings of the study, majority of the respondents stated that the extent of

using 21st century teaching pedagogy is often use by the teachers. And the students have an

outstanding level of academic performance. And it was also proved that there is a significant

relationship of using 21st century teaching pedagogy to the academic performance of the

students. That is to conclude that the use of 21 st century teaching pedagogy has a large

impact of the student’s academic performance as it widens the knowledge of the students

and it helps them to easily understand what is being thought by the teachers. Thus, the

researchers’ hypothesis is being accepted since there is a significance relationship of using

21st century teaching pedagogy to the Academic Performance of the student
