1. How did you come up with the idea of the project? Did anyone help you to find the idea? Who?

“Harvesting sun, powering life” is a project that we came up all by ourselves. We wanted to make a
project on renewable sources of energy, and we thought that this project would represent best what
was on our mind .It is a serious problem finding ways to create energy from renewable sources.Since
the sun is the biggest and most important renewable source of energy we thought the best project
would be the one that harvest its energy.

2. What are you aiming to achieve with this project?

We are planning on building an artwork in a place in the city where it can supply a lot of houses with
electricity.
What we really want to bring to people’s attention is that there are ways through which we can at the
same use sun’s rays to create energy and also decorate our city in the best way possible.

3. Which methods have you used in your project?

We did a lot of research on how the artwork could be designed so the solar panels would be placed on top
of them to get as much sunlight as possible, and how much energy it could produce. And based on what we
found out we were able to create a 3D miniatire version. We also did some questionnaries on what people
would think about this idea.

4. Have you done any experiments or prepared any demonstrations/prototypes? Explain in

short.
Yes ,we have prepared a 3D version of what we want to create on a city, using cardboards, solar
panels, light bulbs etc.We tried to make it as accurate as possible.
5.How have you had your data by experiment done by you or from another source? Have you
used any data from national or international institutions? If yes, state the source.
No ,we have not used any data from national or international instituions. We got information from the
internet, from different physics books and a lot from scientific magazines. We also learned from our
society and their opinios on this project.A big help was also the interview with a physics teacher and
her opinion on our project. She thought it was a good idea because it was creative and also a big
helper to the community.

6.Explain whether your results are matching with your expectations.

On the miniature version we made the results we expected were visible. If this stage of our project is
successful we will take it to another stage and hope it is as successful as this one. Based on the
calculations we did we think it is going to turn out a success even if we do put it in a real city.

7.Explain how your project will contribute to the community.

A solar energy project can significantly contribute to a city by reducing carbon emissions, lowering
energy costs, and promoting sustainability. It helps create a cleaner environment, enhances energy
independence, and sets a positive example for renewable energy adoption. Additionally, job creation and
technological advancements associated with solar projects can further benefit the city’s economy and
overall well-being.It will also make the city prettier and more harmonic looking.
8.Please insert some photos that show you (yourself) are actually involved the development of
your project.
