Project Idea

Brief Summary: The project, titled "Empowering Vulnerable Communities Through

ICT for Development (ICT4D)", aims to bridge the digital divide among marginalized
groups in our community. We will establish community ICT centers equipped with
computers and internet access, offer digital literacy training, and develop locally
relevant digital tools to address their specific needs.

Final Impact: The project aims to impact 500 individuals from vulnerable
communities, including women, youth, and persons with disabilities. We will reach
them through partnerships with local community centers, schools, and NGOs
working with marginalized groups.

Activities/Tasks:

○ Conduct needs assessment to identify specific ICT needs of target

communities.
○ Establish community ICT centers in strategic locations accessible to
the target groups.
○ Provide digital literacy training sessions tailored to the needs of
different demographic groups.
○ Develop and deploy locally relevant digital tools, such as apps for
healthcare information or agricultural assistance.
○ Monitor and evaluate the project's impact through surveys and
feedback mechanisms.

Sustainability: To ensure sustainability, we will train local volunteers to manage the

ICT centers and continue offering digital literacy training beyond the project's
duration. Additionally, we will establish partnerships with local businesses and
government agencies to provide ongoing support and funding.
