Declaration by Reliance Industries Limited (“Reliance”) concerning the presence of RoHS substances
(“Substances”) in all grades of RELPET® Polyester Resins (“Products”)

To whomsoever it may concern

This is to confirm that following Substances are not added intentionally during the manufacture of the
Products of Reliance and to the best of our knowledge neither do they get generated therein:
1. Lead (Pb)
2. Mercury (Hg)
3. Cadmium (Cd)
4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr+6)
5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and
6. Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)
7. Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
8. Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)
9. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
10. Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)

Therefore, these Substances are not expected to be present in the manufactured state of the Products
supplied by Reliance, except probably as adventitious trace impurities. The maximum concentration of
any adventitious traces of these Substances would not be beyond 0.01 % w/w of the Products as
stipulated for homogeneous materials as specified in Annex II of Directive 2011/65/EU on the
restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, last
amended by Directive (EU) 2020/364 and Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste, last
amended by Directive (EU) 2018/852.

The above declaration is subject to the following provisos:

a) Reliance has relied on the certifications given by its suppliers with respect to the Substance, which
it believes to be accurate as of the date hereof.
b) It is restricted to the Products manufactured at Reliance’s facilities and does not apply if the
Products are altered in any form or if any chemical(s) or the like are added to it subsequently.
c) Reliance does not certify the usability of its Products in any particular application.
d) Reliance does not have any control on the various subsequent processes that the Products are
subjected to, before it is converted into any usable form. In this regard, it disclaims any and all
liabilities as to the results obtained or arising from the use of the Products or reliance on such
information.
e) It shall at all times be the responsibility of downstream user(s) to make sure that the said Products
in the final usable form are in compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
f) Nothing contained herein constitutes a license to practice under any patent and it should not be
construed as an inducement to infringe any patent. The downstream user(s) is advised to take
appropriate steps to be sure that any proposed use of the Products will not result in patent
infringement.

This declaration is being issued at the request of the recipient for the sake of good order only, which
shall have a validity of THREE YEARS from the date hereof and supersedes any earlier version. It
should not be forwarded to any third party for any other purpose, without prior written consent of
Reliance.
