ZED is half of a larger organization known as the ZED/MIBA Forum. The Forum is made up of over 175
member airlines from all parts of the globe, participating in the ZED and/or the MIBA (Multilateral Interline
Business Agreement) programs. ZED and MIBA discounts may be offered for travel on/by other airlines,
as bilaterally agreed, or by the airline's own employees traveling on its own flights as per ISTA – Interline
Staff Travel Agreement.
4 myIDTravel Platform
Lufthansa Industry Solutions developed myIDTravel together with a large customer community, the cloud
service supports all relevant functions for the management of ID travel.
Airlines use myIDTravel to offer their employees cost effective and efficient travel solutions. Employees
log in themselves using their preferred desktop browser, smartphone, or tablet.
The myIDTravel application is intuitive and innovative, allowing airlines negotiate new ID agreements with
a new partner in just a few clicks. myIDTravel has an interface that provides access to all of the common
reservation systems, HR systems and payment providers for industry discount travel.
More than 270 customers, including leading airlines worldwide, have already put their trust in myIDTravel
to increase staff satisfaction during travel and cost efficiency during the booking process.
5 Why myIDTravel?
Using myIDTravel, Calm Air Employees can conveniently book, pay for and modify flights on partner
carriers and on Calm Air, electronically for themselves and eligible family members (where applicable
additional beneficiaries). MyIDTravel is distributed worldwide at reasonable travel rates and low rate to
the employee. The traveler pays a small coupon-based fee which follows a declining price model bound
to the amount of coupons guaranteed by the whole myIDTravel community.
ZEA = ZED Employee Adult, retiree, spouse, common law partner and children (age 12 to 23 years of age) –
Included by default within any ISTA agreement.
ZEI = ZED Employee Infant - (age 0 to 1 year of age) - Included by default within any ISTA agreement.
ZEC = ZED Employee Child (age 2 to 11 years of age) - Included by default within any ISTA agreement.
ZCO = ZED Children (age 24 + years of age) - Optional and included only if agreed within ISTA agreement.
ZEP = ZED Employee Parent - Optional and included only if agreed within ISTA agreement.
ZPC = ZED Child Travel Partner of Employee - Optional and included only if agreed within ISTA agreement.
ZPA = ZED Adult Travel Partner of employee - Optional and included only if agreed within ISTA agreement.
ZPU = ZED Travel Partner Unaccompanied - Optional and included only if agreed within ISTA agreement.
ZSS = ZED Designated Travel Companion – Only applicable on Calm Air flights as registered designated travel
companion. Can be applied after employee profile and DTC registration in myIDTravel platform as per next
section.
• Important:
- Before adding any new dependent/beneficiary/designated travel partner data, first row will
have to be completed with Employee information (regardless of whether Employee data
already exists in the myIDTravel). Please refer to sample. Mandatory fields will have to be
chosen from drop down list and cannot be edited.
• Please send the completed Excel file to passbureau@calmair.com
• Incomplete or inaccurate files will be sent back for correction and may cause delay in updating
information.
• Profiles will be updated within 7 business days following internal validation and approval.
Below is the step-by-step process for completing each section of the Excel file. Please note to refer to the
Sample for accurate data input and format:
Employee PTC: Choose from the drop-down list to match with Dependent type. Employee
Spouse/Common Law Partner and Retirees = ZEA, Child = ZEC (only children for age 2-11, above age must
be indicated as ZEA), Infant = ZEI (only infants for age 0-1), Parents = ZEP (ZEP applicable only on other
airlines via myIDTravel) and Designated Travel Companion = ZSS (ZSS is applicable only for Calm Air
flights via myIDTravel). An employee cannot have a spouse AND a DTC registered for travel benefits, they
must choose one or the other. A DTC can be used in lieu of a spouse travel benefit.
Note:
- Parents = ZEP is applicable only for other airline bookable via myIDTravel where Calm Air has
agreement to include Parents eligibility.
- Designated Travel Companion = ZSS is applicable only on Calm Air flights and can be booked via
myIDTravel
Employee ID: Four or three digit employee ID# (i.e., 1111 or 222). Same Employee ID# shall be indicated
for Dependent/Beneficiary.
Date of Hire: First day of employment with Calm Air (regardless of role changes/transfers). Make sure
date format is as per Sample (i.e., 01-Jan-2021). Same date shall be indicated for Dependent/Beneficiary.
Activation Date: Date when this file is being completed. Make sure date format is as per Sample (i.e., 01-
Jan-2021). Same date shall be indicated for Dependent/Beneficiary.Employee status: Indicate from drop-
down list
Calm Air e-mail: Must use your corporate email address (required for activation of myIDTravel). Same e-
mail shall be indicated for Dependent/Beneficiary.
Date of Birth (only for Child and/or Infant): Only indicate date of birth for dependent Child for age 2-11
/or Infant for age 0-1 (leave blank for all others). Make sure date format is as per Sample (i.e., 01-Jan-
2021).
• The system will send an email to your Calm Air’s HR database registered email address, make
sure you have access to the email account. See below.
• Click on the link provided.
• Enter your new password and confirm it, then click change password. Password must be at least
10 characters long.
• You will be taken to the below screen and can log in using your new credentials.
• Select Travelers you wish to include for upcoming listing. All eligible dependents and beneficiaries,
if applicable, will appear on this screen to select from. Please refer to section 7 on how to add
eligible dependents and beneficiaries (if not already included in your profile).
• Once you have selected the travelers you wish to add, it will take you to find flights. Complete all
required fields base on your travel plan. Ensure you check applicable ID Agreement rules and
eligibility for the partner airline you are planning to travel with, otherwise an error will appear if
there is a system mismatch.
• Complete all required fields. The below example is booked with Canadian North. You may choose
Return or One Way travel, however we strongly suggest you book one-way travel as this makes
tickets easier to manage (i.e., changes/cancellations/refunds).
• You will be provided with all flight options for that date. Even if the flight is fully booked, it will
still be available to list a standby ticket on.
• The “face” icon beside each flight option indicates the space availability at the time you are
booking as follows:
• On the Fare Information page, all applicable fares, government taxes and administrative fees
charged by myIDTravel will be shown for the selected itinerary, separated by airline and
passenger. All amounts highlighted in grey will be charged to your credit card by the ticket issuing
airline in the currency stated.
• The Contact and Payment Information screen is pre-populated with your email information from
your staff profile. You are required to include applicable phone numbers and may change the
email to another address if you prefer. Please double check all information on this page.
• You will receive a pop-up message verifying your credit card was successfully saved for your
booking. You may also edit the credit card information at this time. You must check all
acknowledgement boxes to finish the purchase.
• You will then receive verification that your ticket has been listed successfully and you will receive
confirmation sent to the email provided during the listing. A sample test message has been
provided as an example.
