My name full name is PGH and Im a student from class N1801.

And today Im going to introduce about

my hometown.

Every person is born with a homeland. Wherever we go, we always remember our homeland. My
hometown is Long Thanh, which is a district belongs to Dong Nai Province. Dong Nai is a province in
southeastern Vietnam and can consider to be located in the key economic zone of the South of Vietnam.
With an area of 5,862 square kilometers, in 2019, Dong Nai’s population reached 3 million people. Dong
Nai is subdivided into 9 districts (Cam My, Dinh Quan, Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Tan Phu, Thong
Nhat ,Trang Bom, Vinh Cuu, Xuan Loc) and 2 cities (Bien Hoa and Long Khanh) The current provincial
capital of Dong Nai is Bien Hoa city.

Dong Nai has a well-developed transportation system. There are many major routes passing through this
province, including National Road 1A, National Road 20, National Road 51. Thanks to this, tourists can
conveniently explore this province at any time. However, as Dong Nai does not have an airport, air
travelers usually land at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, then take a bus from Ho Chi Minh City
to Dong Nai. Actually there is an airport currently under construction is Long Thanh International airport
but its not in use yet. The project is the biggest and the most expensive project in Vietnam's history.
With completion planned in 2025, the airport is predicted to serve over 100 million passengers in the
future.

Despite its industrial development, Dong Nai has a number of natural attractions, including the Cat Tien
National Park. This is the largest nature reserve in the southern region, and it is recognized by UNESCO
as one of the world's six largest biosphere reserves. This is the home of many kinds of flora and fauna,
some of which are rare and even endangered. The next natural attraction that I want to suggest to you is
Chua Chan Mountain, the "roof" of Đồng Nai. There is a destination on the mountain called secret zone
Hầm Hinh, and a several pagodas such as Bửu Quang, Lâm Sơn Tự, Linh Sơn Tự.

If you want to check-in, you shouldn’t miss out Ba Chồng Stone. “Ba Chồng” here is not the father of
your husband, not the father-in-law, but the shape of the three rocks stacked on top of each other.
Anyways, thanks to the special shape, countless visitors stop to admire the scenery.

Dong Nai is also famous for the river named after this province – the Dong Nai river. This is the longest
river entirely in the country – the longest inland river. The Dong Nai River travels through several
provinces, including Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and also Ho Chi Minh City
at some points. When Dong Nai river is discussed, it is impossible not to mention the handicraft villages,
which is located along the basin of the Dong Nai River, such as skilful stone carving of Hoa group (đá mỹ
nghệ của người Hoa), Tan Van pottery village (làng gốm Tân Vạn),.... Dong Nai's pottery is well-known
for its beauty. The 300-years-old village has been known for its black clay pottery for centuries.

Tri An lake is an artificial lake located on the Dong Nai River. It was built for purpose of storing water for
the Tri An Power Plant. The lake offers plenty of its own outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, and
camping.
There are also plenty of well-known waterfalls here like: Đá Hàn Waterfall, Mai waterfall, or Giang Dien
Waterfall,...There are some notes that you need to know if you want to have the best experience at
these waterfalls: Only in the dry season the water is clear, while in the rainy season, it becomes muddy.

Dong Nai’s tourism is also developing. Many tourist attractions have appeared such as Buu Long Tourist
Area (Khu du lịch Bửu Long), Golden Scorpion Resort (Resort Bò Cạp Vàng), Vuon Xoai Tourist Area(khu
du lịch vườn xoài). During your visit, you can immerse yourself not only in the wild natural environment
but also in various physical activities such as kayaking, grass sliding, and ostrich riding.

If you are a fruits lover, visiting the fruit gardens such as Long Khanh Fruit Garden or Tan Trieu pomelo
garden might be a good idea. Here, you can enjoy handpicking them like a real farmer. Then after that
you can try many specialties like Gà hấp bưởi (steamed chicken with pomelo), gỏi bưởi Tân Triều (Tan
Trieu pomelo salad), fresh fruits of the region including durian, mango, jackfruit and more.

When you visit Bien Hoa city. This city is famous for being surrounded by many island like Cù lao Phố, Cù
lao Cỏ, Cù lao Ba Xê. Tourists can start exploring Cu Lao Pho Island with the historical relics like Ong
Pagoda, and Dai Giac Pagoda, each with a history of over 300 years. Here, the people of Bien Hoa
worship the founder of the nation, Nguyen Huu Canh - a famous person who has made great
contributions to the country in expanding and reorganizing the southern border of the country. That’s
the reason why Nguyen Huu Canh Temple should be on the destinations list when you visit Bien Hoa
City. Next on the journey is the Tran Bien Temple of Literature, recognized as the oldest temple in Dong
Nai Province. It is named after the name Tran Bien – an old name of Bien Hoa. Being built in 1715 under
Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu.

The distance from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City is only 30 kilometers, you can easily get here by driving
from HCM using the highway. You’ll get there in 40 to 60 mins (depends on the traffic sittuation). In my
opinion, Dong Nai is a suitable place to visit if you want to have a short trip in day. I love my hometown
here and I bet that u’re gonna love visitting here too.

Thanks for listenning.
