TELEVISION PRODUCTION PROJECT - MULTI CAMERA
PRODUCTION
SEMESTER – VII PRACTICAL- PAPER – 1

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

1) To understand the nuances of Television Production using two or more cameras.


2) To study the scope of using Multi Cameras for Television Production
3) To gain knowledge about the Concept and Visualization of multi camera reality based
programmes.
4) To equip the student with the knowledge and hands on experience in Multi Camera
Television Production system.
5) To provide an opportunity for the students to apply all the creative and technical
knowledge he/she has gained during the course of study in their respective field.

CONTENT:
1) This project is a coordination project. It has to be completed in a coordinated way
each playing their respective role from visualizing a concept to the final completion of
the production.
2) The duration of the final product should not exceed 10 minutes.
3) Each student will be guided about the scripting and the technology involved in the
Multi Camera Television Production system as per their respective field.
4) Step by step, the student will practically understand the concept and the technical
details of Multi Camera Television Production system.
5) Each student is expected to maintain a production Dossier of the proceedings during
the Multi Camera Television Production.
6) The detailed discussion of the production stage with regard to creativity, feasibility
and Understandability will have to be recorded.
7) The Photographic evidence can be included in the report in the appropriate places.

EVALUATION:

Evaluation of this practical will be done by the staff of the Television Section
(Internal) and External examiners appointed by The University.

PRACTICAL EXAMINATION:

Practical examination consists of evaluation of a report about the project, Vivo voce
and the quality of the project.

MARKS ALLOCATION:

Marks are awarded on the basis of the choice of Concept, Visualization, Execution
and the quality of the final project.

FILM PRODUCTION PROJECT - 6 - FINAL FILM PROJECT
SEMESTER – VII PRACTICAL- PAPER – 2

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

1) To enable the student to follow the correct production methodology and provide
him/her an opportunity to contribute in union with fellow technicians and creators
towards a common goal.
2) To create awareness in each student towards the completion of the productions
within the stipulated time and budget.
3) To provide an opportunity for the students to apply all the creative and technical
knowledge he/she has gained during the course of study in their respective field.
4) To provide an opportunity to the Students to form an Unit, comprising of one student
from each Branch and to do a short film, the duration of which is maximum 15
minutes.

CONTENT:
1) Each student is expected to maintain a production Dossier of the proceedings during
the Final Film production.
2) The detailed discussion of the pre-production stage with regard to creativity,
feasibility and understandability will have to be recorded.
3) The production stages should be recorded with respect to scheduling, writing of
reports and finally the post-production report should be produced.
4) Photographic evidence can be included in the report in the appropriate places.
5) Each Unit can crank a Rush footage of Final Film Project for a duration of maximum
45 minutes. But edited length of Final film must be maximum 15 minutes including
the Titles

EVALUATION:

Evaluation of this practical will be done by the staff of the respective section (Internal) and
External examiners appointed by The University. Marks are awarded on the basis of the
choice of Concept, Visualization, Execution and the quality of the final project.

PROJECT REPORT ON FINAL FILM PROJECT

SEMESTER – VII PRACTICAL- PAPER – 3

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

1) To enable the student to follow the correct production methodology and provide him/her

3) To meticulously record the importance of every stage of film production to enrich the
knowledge of the students in filmmaking.
4) To create an opportunity to the students to apply all the creative and technical
knowledge he/she has gained during the course of study in their respective field.

Diploma film production.
2) The detailed discussion of the pre-production stage with regard to creativity, feasibility
and understandability will have to be recorded.
3) The production stages should be recorded with respect to scheduling, writing of reports
and finally the post-production report should be produced.
4) Photographic evidence can be included in the report in the appropriate places.

INTERNSHIP PROJECT PRACTICALS

SEMESTER – VIII PRACTICAL- PAPER – 1


COURSE OBJECTIVE:

1) To enable the students to acquire experience and skills of professional Film /


Television techniques, methods practiced in their respective field.
2) To provide an opportunity to observe the methodology practiced by professionals in
the real life situations.
3) To create an opportunity to have first hand information on the latest equipments
available in the Film/TV industry.
4) To enable the students to interact with the professionals concerned thus creating a
bridge between the students and industry.

CONTENT:
1) Each student would submit his willingness for Internship in a Film / Television
production house or with a practicing professional and also mention the specialization
area in the respective profession. The student concerned should make all the
arrangements right from getting the permission for internship. The decision of the
Staff in charge is final as far as the choice of the specialization and the production
house allotted to each student.
2) After the approval from the section, the student would undergo Internship in the
particular skill for a period of ten days, during which the production house will
maintain attendance. A certificate of attendance should be submitted at the time of
evaluation of the examination.
3) No expenditure will be borne by the Institute or by the production house towards the
Internship. The student will have to meet out all the expenditures.

EVALUATION:

Evaluation of this practical will be done by the staff of the respective section
(Internal) and External examiners appointed by the University. Marks are awarded on the
basis of the quality of the scripts submitted and viva voce.
