S.NO EXPERIMENTS PERFORMED IN IC ENGINES AND POWER PLANTS LAB.

01 Introduction to the IC engine lab and demonstration on complete vehicle.


02 Study the different accessories and assemblies fitted on a 6- cylinder spark ignition
engine (Toyota 2F).
03 Study the different accessories and assemblies fitted on a 6- cylinder compression
ignition engine diesel (EC-100 HINO).
04 Study the different accessories and assemblies fitted on a 3- cylinder spark ignition
engine (Suzuki ST30).
05 Determination of different Parameters (Engine Torque, Brake Power, Volumetric and
specific fuel consumption, Air flow rate, Air to fuel ratio, Volumetric Efficiency and
Brake Mean Effective Pressure) of two Strokes 2S internal combustion Engine.

06 Drawing Engine Performance Curves at full and partial loads for two Strokes 2S
internal combustion Engine

07 Determination of different Parameters (Engine Torque, Brake Power, Volumetric and


specific fuel consumption, Air flow rate, Air to fuel ratio, Volumetric Efficiency and
Brake Mean Effective Pressure) of four Strokes 4S internal combustion Engine.
08 Drawing Engine Performance Curves at full and partial loads for four Strokes 4S
internal combustion Engine.
09 Demonstration and working calculations on Axial flow Gas Turbine.
10 Demonstration and working calculations on Steam Power Plant.
11 To determine the effect of change in vane angle and braking force and flow rate on
efficiency of the Francis Turbine using Francis Turbine test rig.
12 Plotting the relation between intensity of the incident light and output power and to
determine the no load voltage, charging voltage and changing current of solar panel
apparatus.
13 Introduction to the wind energy training system and No load voltage of wind turbine
by using measurement module.
14 Introduction to the cooling tower apparatus and determine the curve relationship for
effectiveness and water flow rate.
15 Drawing the Effectiveness vs Cooling Load and Effectiveness vs Air Flow Rate
curves for cooling tower apparatus.
