I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on Integrative Health from the

University of Arizona. I am excited to pursue a career as a nurse and apply for the role of a Progressive Care

Unit RN at Banner Gateway Medical Center. I believe the experience gained from my University’s Integrative

Health emphasis in Nursing would make me an ideal candidate. My skills, knowledge, and evidence-based

learning align perfectly with Banner Health’s mission and values.

Throughout my program I learned how to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare staff through

use of feedback and active listening. I utilized problem-solving and critical thinking skills to prioritize patient

care and I gained necessary professionalism readiness during clinical encounters. The Integrative Health

component of my education allows me to establish patient care that focuses on the individual as a whole,

expanding further than simply treating the disease process. Throughout 2020, I volunteered at numerous

health clinics and drive through programs that encouraged vaccination and safe practice education during the

Covid-19 pandemic. I obtained necessary flexibility and adaptability skills due to the ever-changing landscape

of healthcare throughout the pandemic.

I believe that my clinical and community experience, dynamic skill set, and critical thinking abilities would allow

me to become a cohesive part of the Banner Gateway Medical Community. Thank you for your consideration. I
