Description and brief History:
Republic Act No. 10121 This Act also known as “Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Act of 2010” or “An act strengthening the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management System, providing for the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management
Framework and Institutionalizing the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan,
appropriating funds therefor and for other purposes.”
In 2013, it was called as Disaster Coordinating Council(DCC), later on it was called as
Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office(MDRRMO).

area.
 It also help the environment to lessen the

 Coastal Erosion is the results of cutting trees
and dying environment near the shore.
 Coastal Clean Up  This activity promote cleaner and fresh coastal
water/shore.
 It helps those fisherfolks to protect the sea as
well as the sea creatures.
 It was conducted to lessen the remains of
Micro-plastic, Volume of Nylon and rope that
used by the fisherfolks, that might harm not
just the fishes but also the human being.
 Drainage Clean-Up  This activity was conducted to clean and make
way for the water to flow
 They unclogged those drainage to
lessen/prevent floods from happening.

