Application of Laplace Transform
Marcelo O. Santos
Instructor
I. Objective
To be able to apply Laplace transform to solve engineering
problems.
II. Discussion:
The Laplace transform is a mathematical tool used to solve linear
differential equations with constant coefficients. It converts a
differential equation in the time domain into an algebraic equation in
the frequency domain. This transformation allows us to analyze the
frequency characteristics of the system, which can be very useful in the
field of control systems and signal processing.

IV. Observation
Laplace transforms are a powerful tool for solving differential
equations and are widely used in control systems and signal processing.
The use of MATLAB, a powerful numerical computing software, can make
the application of Laplace transforms even easier.
