What is the workplace training logbook?
The workplace training logbook is designed to record the development of the student’s
practical skills and learning in a work-based environment. This training logbook is for the
following units of competency.

Unit Code Unit Name

CHCEDS047 Assist in facilitation of student learning

The training logbook contributes towards course requirements so the student can
successfully complete their qualification. It is a requirement that students undertake a
minimum of 100 hours in the workplace, and this training logbook provides evidence that
they have undertaken learning at their work placement.

Detailed Instructions
 Your workplace training logbook should be kept with you at all times. Your
teacher/assessor will regularly check on your progress and work with your
employer/workplace supervisor to assist you in developing your knowledge and skills.

 At the start of your work placement, talk to your employer/workplace supervisor about
the units you are completing, and the requirements set out in the workplace portfolio
and the workplace training logbook.

 You should have the opportunity to practice tasks in the workplace that are directly
related to the learning you are completing at TAFE NSW.

This book has one section for completion:

1. Workplace Attendance Log — Keep a record of your workplace attendance and

document the tasks you complete along the way.

To complete your work placement successfully, you will be required to:

 record tasks and activities completed during your work placement hours
