45°- 45°- 90° Right Triangle Theorem

30°- 60°- 90° Right Triangle Theorem

For today’s lesson were going to:

1. State and explain 45°-45°-90° and 30°- 60°- 90° Right Triangle Theorem
2. Solve problems applying the 45°-45°-90°and 30°− 60°− 90°Right Triangle
Theorem

Let’s have a RECAP

We can say that:

SQUARE is a quadrilateral that has four equal sides and four right angles.

When a square is cut into halves diagonally, two right triangles are formed.

These right triangles are called ISOSCELES RIGHT TRIANGLES or the

45°- 45°- 90°RIGHT TRIANGLES.

because they have two equal sides and a right angle.

On the other hand,

if an isosceles triangle is cut into halves by perpendicular bisector, another
pair of right triangles are formed where the interior angles are 30°- 60° -
90°
The triangles being referred are generally called SPECIAL RIGHT TRIANGLES.

because they have some characteristics or properties that

are very useful in solving problems concerning right triangles

We are done with the first type of special right triangle which is the 45°- 45°- 90° triangle.

Now we will have the second type of special right triangle, and this
is the 30°-60°-90° triangle, and discover the relationship between
the side opposite the 30° angle, the side opposite the 60°o angle,
and side opposite the 90° angle.
