English: Comprehension, composition (150 words), singular-plural, opposites, articles, nouns, verbs, subject &
predicate, adjectives, genders, punctuations, pronouns, adverbs, tenses, homophones, conjunctions, prepositions
and homophones.

Grade 5: (Set A and Set B)

English: Comprehension, composition (250 words), letter writing, singular-plural, opposites, articles, nouns,
verbs, subject & predicate, adjectives, genders, punctuations, pronouns, adverbs, tenses, homophones,
conjunctions, prepositions and homophones.

Grade 6: (Set A and Set B)

English: Type of nouns, Pronouns (Subject, object and possessive), Conjunctions, Adverbs of time, place and
manner, W=Verbs, tenses, Direct and Indirect Speech, Active and Passive Voice, Prepositions, Punctuations,
Antonyms and Synonyms, Homonyms, Composition and Comprehension.

Grade 7: (Set A and Set B)

English: Unseen passage, Paragraph writing, Notice-lost and found (writing skills 50 – words), Prepositions,
articles, Conjunctions, Interrogative sentences, Jumbled sentences

Grade 8: (Set A and Set B)

English: Unseen passage, Formal letter (Editor) Informal letter, Article Writing, Diary Writing and Report
Writing, Tenses (Simple Present and Present Continuous, Simple Past and Present Continuous, Present Perfect
and Past Perfect) Prepositions, Articles, Reported Speech, Active Passage, Modals, Jumbled Sentences and
Conjunctions.

Grade 9: (Set A and Set B)

Reading- Question based on the following kinds of unseen passages to assess inference, evaluation, vocabulary,
analysis and interpretation:
1. Discursive passage (400-450 words)

2. Case based Factual passage (with visual input/ statistical data/ chart etc. 200-250 words)

Writing-

1. Descriptive paragraph (Person)

2. Short Story (based on beginning line, outline, cues etc.)

1. Tenses

2. Subject-Verb Concord

3. Modals

4. Determiners

5. Reported Speech
